between the spaces (where stars do not)breathe they came
from geometries un fathomable to human minds ;the visitors with eyes like fractured moons&thoughts like labyrinths
while Earth’s defenders raised their w e a p o n s (each bullet a tiny universe of intent) she found him trembling behind the library of babel
his tentacles &her fingers meeting in the dust of forgotten encyclopedias
they became a paradox
&lover predator&sanctuary the world’s ending(its beginning)
the generals spoke of contamination infection surrender but they created a new language where “enemy” dissolved into meaninglessness
when the mothership circled above the burning cities they ignored the symmetry of destruction
for in their tiny apartment (an island of impossible geography) they proved that love transcends species&stars
he learned to brew coffee she learned to filter oxygen through modified gills
in the mirror
forms becoming a single i m p o s s i b i l i t y
&as invasion turned to exodus (the visitors realizing Earth was already occupied by something stronger)
they remained a testament to: love(the infinite game) love(the cosmic joke) love(the ultimate rebellion)
now their child— half stardust half earthling— dreams in languages that rewrite the universe
